Milwaukee Bucks and Bobby Portis have a major decision to make before the start of the 2025-2026 season and there will be a number of hurdle they need to overcome.<\/p>\n

First on the list are the other teams chasing the 30-year-old veteran. Most notable of which are the Golden State Warriors who are reportedly searching for a starting big man.<\/p>\n

\u201cTeam executives expect Portis to have numerous potential landing spots in the midlevel market as well, although Milwaukee would like to bring back the 30-year-old forward, sources say,\u201d NBA reporter Jake Fischer said.<\/p>\n

The Dubs may have an advantage because of Portis\u2019 connection with their head coach.<\/p>\n

\u201cGolden State has always been a team to monitor for Portis, who has a notable fan in head coach Steve Kerr from their shared days during the 2023 FIBA World Cup competition with USA Basketball.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Warriors ended their 2025 season with a second round exit after getting eliminated by the Minnesota Timberwolves. The team\u2019s best big man in that series was undersized Draymond Green who went against Julius Randle, Rudy Gobert, and Naz Reid.<\/p>\n

Bobby Portis is like everyone else<\/h2>\n

There has been a lot of wild NBA rumors lately with some so called insiders refusing to reveal who their sources are.<\/p>\n

Portis appeared at the Run it Back podcast and was asked about this rumor and he has a question that probably everyone asks.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy first thought when it comes to these reports is, \u2018How do these people know so much?\u201d he asked in the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cWho\u2019s telling all of this? Who\u2019s behind the scenes? Who\u2019s calling and checking in and all this?\u201d<\/p>\n

He then went on to discuss his offseason plans and priorities.<\/p>\n

He said this time, he will try to get the bag although he is not closing any doors about Milwaukee return.<\/p>\n
