A motion has been filed by Blake Lively to block Justin Baldoni from accessing private communications she allegedly had with Taylor Swift.<\/p>\n

The motion was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on June 11th. This comes amid an ongoing legal dispute tied to the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover\u2019s best-selling novel It Ends With Us, which Baldoni not only directed but also starred in.<\/p>\n

Baldoni\u2019s lawyers are now seeking communications (text messages) between Lively and Swift as part of their discovery process.<\/p>\n

According to recent court documents, Baldoni\u2019s attorneys allege that Lively may have shared \u201cnegative opinions\u201d about him with Swift.<\/p>\n

These alleged statements are currently being tracked as part of Baldoni\u2019s defense against alleged claims made in the ongoing lawsuit involving the film project.<\/p>\n

Lively\u2019s legal team argues the request is \u201cirrelevant, invasive, and harassing,\u201d and is asking the court to deny access to any of the messages or related records. In the motion, Lively\u2019s team states that Baldoni\u2019s request is \u201cnot reasonably calculated to lead to the discovery of admissible evidence.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Although the legal conflict centers on Justin Baldoni, it originally stems from a lawsuit filed by Lively\u2019s former producing partner, Scott Neustadter, a well-known screenwriter and producer known for 500 Days of Summer, The Spectacular Now, and Daisy Jones & The Six.<\/p>\n

Neustadter claims he was allegedly pushed out of the project and is now seeking damages. Lively is not a named party in the suit but has been subpoenaed for documents and testimony.<\/p>\n

Baldoni\u2019s lawyers have not made any public comments. Lively\u2019s request is currently being evaluated, and a hearing is set for later this summer.<\/p>\n

Taylor Swift has offered no remarks.<\/p>\n
