NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O\u2019Neal had some grievances to air with the Kansas City Chiefs\u2019 game plan during the Super Bowl. And he aired them directly to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.<\/p>\n

Kelce and his team were going for a three-peat \u2013 the first in NFL history \u2013 but ended up laying an absolute egg against the Philadelphia Eagles, getting thumped 40-22.<\/p>\n

And it wasn\u2019t even that <\/em>close.<\/p>\n

Making matters worse, Kelce, who was contemplating retirement by riding off into the sunset, was noticeably underutilized on the field. The 10-time Pro Bowler had just four catches for 39 yards.<\/p>\n

Because of that, O\u2019Neal had a bone to pick with the Chiefs\u2019 coaching staff.<\/p>\n

Shaquille O\u2019Neal Confronts Travis Kelce<\/h2>\n

Shaq, appearing on Travis Kelce and his brother Jason\u2019s \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast recently, seized the opportunity to address the team\u2019s failures in last season\u2019s Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a question, how come they didn\u2019t use you a lot in the Super Bowl?\u201d Shaq confronted. \u201cI know you\u2019re (expletive) pissed. I don\u2019t want to get you in trouble.\u201d<\/p>\n

In reality, they could have targeted Kelce 20 times or more in that game, and he could have wound up with 10 catches, 180 yards, and two touchdowns \u2026 and they still would have been blown out.<\/p>\n

Kelce took the high road and responded that obviously, he, the coaching staff, and the refs did everything in their power to help the Chiefs win.<\/p>\n

(Okay, maybe I made up that part about the refs \u2013 But you were all thinking it!)<\/p>\n

\u201cNah, man, you already know we were trying to use all the pieces, man,\u201d Kelce replied.<\/p>\n

While the Chiefs\u2019 tight end continued to suggest his team delivered their best game plan, Shaq would have none of it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI need the pieces that helped us win the first (expletive) Super Bowl, don\u2019t be trying to do the new (expletive),\u201d O\u2019Neal concluded. \u201cI don\u2019t wanna get you in trouble, but I wasn\u2019t happy about that.\u201d<\/p>\n
