The Bad Blood hitmaker, 35, and her NFL boyfriend, 35, were both invited to fashion\u2019s biggest night, which is taking place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.<\/p>\n

However, the couple decided not to attend the annual fundraiser \u2014 which has been slammed as\u00a0\u2018boring\u2019 and \u2018underwhelming\u2019\u00a0<\/span>by fans \u2014 \u2018as a result of their schedules\u2019 according to TMZ.<\/p>\n

The singer has been absent from the event for eight years now. While Taylor\u2019s last appearance at the soir\u00e9e was in 2016, when she co-chaired the \u2018Manus x Machina\u2019 Met Gala, Travis has never been.<\/p>\n

The couple\u2019s last public sighting was on March 14th, dining together at Del Frisco\u2019s Grille in\u00a0New York City<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The Met Gala was hit with a number of\u00a0shocking last-minute cancellations\u00a0<\/span>from longtime veterans of the event to one of this year\u2019s honorary co-chairs.<\/p>\n

The red carpet was besieged by celebrities in drab black and gray outfits. Even bombshells like Sydney Sweeney and Dua Lipa failed to stand-out as they made the trek up the museum\u2019s iconic staircase in forgettable gowns.<\/p>\n

Fans compared the 2025 event to a \u2018funeral\u2019 as they flocked to social media to voice their disappointment \u2014 with some even speculating that the Met Gala is \u2018dead.\u2019<\/p>\n

Despite knowing the event falls on the first Monday of May, many celebrities were unable to fit fashion\u2019s biggest night into their schedules or simply not interested in coming.<\/p>\n

On Monday morning, DailyMail.com exclusively confirmed that Jennifer Lopez was skipping the fundraiser.<\/p>\n

She has been busy filming her new movie, Office Romance, in the New Jersey area, which is located just outside of New York City, where the event is held.<\/p>\n

Just days before the fundraiser, Sarah Jessica Parker, left fans stunned as she also confirmed she would not be attending due to a scheduling conflict.<\/p>\n

The red carpet fixture has walked the famed steps of the Met 12 times since her first appearance in 1995.<\/p>\n

\u2018I have to work,\u2019 the Sex and The City star told Entertainment Tonight. \u2018But there\u2019s going to be so much to see, and I look forward to seeing what everybody does and how they interpret the theme and the homework they did for the assignment.\u2019<\/p>\n

While speaking about the Met Gala, the Golden Globe winner continued: \u2018I care a lot about it and I want to try to honor the work of the curators and everybody who sort of inspired this moment for those of us who get to attend.\u2019<\/p>\n

The theme of this year\u2019s Met Gala is Superfine: Tailoring Black Style and the co-chairs are Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and Anna Wintour.<\/p>\n
