Miami’s team president\u00a0Pat Riley<\/a>\u00a0has always strived to keep the Heat in the hunt for an\u00a0NBA<\/a>\u00a0title, and the 2025 offseason could serve as a clear reflection of that mission.<\/p>\n

With Riley remaining adamant on adding another star in the coming months, recent reports from ClutchPoints’ NBA insider\u00a0Brett Siegel<\/a>\u00a0indicate that he may have his eyes on a certain cerebral scorer from the\u00a0Sacramento Kings<\/a>\u00a0as a potential trade target.<\/p>\n

“The Miami Heat are expected to be buyers this offseason and seek to make immediate upgrades around\u00a0Bam Adebayo<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Tyler Herro<\/a>, sources said,” Siegel wrote Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n

“Pat Riley is always aggressive on the summer trade market, and he will be involved in any conversations about All-Star players hitting the market.”<\/p>\n

“DeMar DeRozan<\/a>\u00a0is once again viewed by other teams as a potential target for Riley and the Heat.”<\/p>\n

Though the aging\u00a0DeMar DeRozan<\/a>\u00a0is guaranteed $73.8 million through the 2026-27 season, the 35-year-old could surely assist the Heat as he continues to prove himself as one of the NBA’s deadliest pure scoring threats.<\/p>\n
