Steph Curry is not ready to face Klay Thompson as an opponent for the first time in his NBA career. Curry and the\u00a0Golden State Warriors\u00a0are set to welcome Thompson and the Dallas Mavericks at the Chase Center on Tuesday night. It’s the first Warriors-Mavs matchup since Thompson signed with Dallas in free agency this year.<\/p>\n

Speaking to “Warriors Postgame Live” on NBC Sports Bay Area after Golden State’s 127-116 win over the\u00a0OKC Thunder, Curry was asked about his feelings about the upcoming reunion with their former teammate. Curry admitted that he’s trying to save his energy thinking about it because it’s going to be a handful.<\/p>\n

“Don’t do this to me,” Curry said. “Don’t do this to me. I’m not ready for this, man. It’s going to be a lot to look forward to and I’m excited to see him, obviously as a friend. But I’m trying to conserve all of my mental energy for Tuesday because it’s going to be a lot.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
