The Kansas City Chiefs’ vaunted AFC West rival found their franchise running back in the NFL Draft, but new Las Vegas Raiders Ashton Jeanty is already seeing some major changes to his game as he makes the leap to the pros.<\/div>\n

Ashton Jeanty was one of the most coveted running back prospects in recent years. The\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>\u00a0were never in the sweepstakes, but he unfortunately fell to the rival\u00a0Las Vegas Raiders<\/a>\u00a0in the top 10 of the draft last month.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs have proven the class of the AFC West for the better part of the last decade, having won the division the last nine seasons. But their competitors are making up ground.<\/p>\n

Las Vegas has the most work to do among the three in pursuit and have made some significant changes to blaze a new trail forward. They have brought in Pete Carroll as the next head coach who helped appoint Chip Kelly to offensive coordinator.<\/p>\n

Kelly’s star shines bright again after his contributions to\u00a0Ohio State<\/a>‘s national championship run. Carroll and the Raiders hope to replicate that same dynamic attack at the next level with Jeanty being a focal point of this change.<\/p>\n

Already, Kelly has installed some tweaks to the rookie’s game, focusing specifically on his stance. Jeanty was known for his unique posture in the backfield during his time at Boise State, but Kelly wants him taking a more fundamental approach.<\/p>\n

Jeanty revealed the first major lesson bestowed upon him during an interview with Kay Adams on FanDuel TV.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe won for now,\u201d Jeanty said. \u201cI\u2019m going to try to persuade him one day. I have to earn my stripes and make some plays first, but I don\u2019t think it\u2019s going to be the end [of the stance].\u201d<\/p>\n

Jeanty understands his place as a rookie coming in, absorbing knowledge from a veteran offensive mind like Kelly. Could this change potentially inhibit his progress?<\/p>\n
