It was a disappointing end to the 2024-25\u00a0NBA<\/a>\u00a0season for the\u00a0Golden State Warriors<\/a>\u00a0as they were eliminated by the\u00a0Minnesota Timberwolves<\/a>\u00a0in the second round of the playoffs.<\/p>\n

Of course, Golden State was without their star point guard\u00a0Stephen Curry<\/a>\u00a0for most of the series due to a hamstring injury and with him sidelined, the rest of their roster struggled.<\/p>\n

Because of this, Golden State could be in line to make some major changes to their roster in the offseason and they also have a major decision to make regarding their young forward\u00a0Jonathan Kuminga<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kuminga was benched early on in the playoffs after head coach Steve Kerr mentioned that he did not like his fit next to Butler in the rotation.<\/p>\n

Kerr eventually inserted Kuminga back in the rotation after Curry\u2019s injury during the second round, where he led the Warriors in scoring.<\/p>\n

Despite this, Kuminga\u2019s role on the Warriors is unclear in the near future and with him being a restricted free agent this summer, many expect them to either let him walk or agree to a sign-and-trade deal with another team.<\/p>\n

Bleacher Report\u2019s Andy Bailey<\/a>\u00a0recently predicted that the Warriors would send Kuminga via sign-and-trade to the\u00a0Phoenix Suns<\/a>\u00a0in the offseason to reunite with their former superstar,\u00a0Kevin Durant<\/a>.<\/p>\n
