During her Eras Tour stop in New Orleans on Friday, Oct. 25, the singer, 34, shared her pride at the “joy” her fans have brought to her tour and recalled the first time she saw Swifties trade friendship bracelets at her shows, in what has become a signature practice among audiences.<\/p>\n
In a video posted on a fan account on X (formerly Twitter), Swift told fans, \u201cYou\u2019ve created traditions. You\u2019ve created this mass movement of joy every time we play a show. And it makes me so proud, it really does.”<\/p>\n
\u201cI just showed up one day and you guys were trading friendship bracelets and I was like, \u2018that\u2019s cool\u2019 \u2014 and now there is a giant friendship bracelet on the outside of this stadium,\u201d she said, referring to the giant friendship bracelet displayed on the outside of the Caesars Superdome, marking her tour’s arrival there.<\/p>\n

Friendship bracelets have become a staple among Swift fans at her Eras Tour shows, which began in March 2023. Swifties took it upon themselves to create the beaded bracelets with titles and lyrics from her music and wear them at the show, where they also swap them with other fans.<\/p>\n
