Taylor Swift is getting tied up in Justin Baldoni\u2019s defamation suit against Blake Lively over the film \u201cIt Ends With Us,\u201d but a spokesperson for Swift denies any involvement with the film beyond licensing music.<\/p>\n
Her track \u201cMy Tears Ricochet\u201d was\u00a0licensed for use in the film\u2019s trailer and a scene. But Baldoni\u2019s lawsuit, filed in January, included text messages in which Lively alludes to Swift as \u201cone of her dragons.\u201d<\/p>\n
Baldoni alleges in the $400 million suit that Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds hijacked the production of \u201cIt Ends With Us\u201d in order to destroy his reputation with allegations of sexual harassment.<\/p>\n
The texts pertain to a rooftop scene in the film that Lively had allegedly reworked from the script.<\/p>\n
According to Baldoni\u2019s suit, Lively summoned him to her New York penthouse where Reynolds and a \u201cmega-celebrity friend,\u201d believed to be Swift, praised her version of the scene.<\/p>\n
Baldoni\u2019s lawyers say he felt \u201cobliged to text Lively to say that he had liked her pages and hadn\u2019t needed Reynolds and her mega-celebrity friend to pressure him.\u201d<\/p>\n
Lively later sent a text that referred to Reynolds and a friend, again presumed to be Swift, as \u201cabsolute titans as writers and storytellers outside of their primary gig.\u201d She compared herself to the Queen of Dragons, Daenerys, in HBO\u2019s \u201cGame of Thrones,\u201d adding, \u201cMy dragons also protect those I fight for,\u201d referring to Reynolds and Swift. \u201cSo really, we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. You will too, I can promise you.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n The legal battle between Lively and Baldoni began in December.
