The 24-year-old\u2019s slow start spurned conversations with several people in the Dodgers organization.<\/p>\n<p>Manager\u00a0Dave Roberts, who has earned a reputation for sticking by his players in tough times, encouraged Pages to refrain from overthinking and trust who he was as a big league hitter.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHitting is not hard for him,\u201d Roberts said to The Athletic\u2019s\u00a0Fabian Ardaya. \u201cIt\u2019s his superpower.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Heading into Saturday\u2019s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Pages is hitting .282 with six home runs, 19 RBIs and an OPS of .824. In Friday\u2019s comeback victory, Pages went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs.<\/p>\n<p>President of baseball operations Andrew Friedman was also one of the people who met with Pages amid his early season slump, and reiterated the team\u2019s faith in his abilities&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt was helpful to him to hear from so many different people in the organization just how much we believe in him, for him to exhale and go out and have fun playing the game,\u201d Friedman said. \u201cHe\u2019s a really gifted natural hitter.
