Isiah Pacheco hit a major personal milestone on Tuesday. The\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>\u00a0running back returned to\u00a0Rutgers<\/a>\u00a0University to complete his studies and earn his bachelor\u2019s degree.<\/p>\n

Many of his family, friends and his former team are very proud of Pop. The 26-year-old athlete played football for Rutgers from 2018 to 2021 before being drafted by the Chiefs in 2022. He helped the Chiefs win two Super Bowls during his career and even\u00a0wore his rings<\/a>\u00a0at Rutgers’\u00a0student-athlete graduation ceremony<\/a>\u00a0on Tuesday evening to prove it.<\/p>\n

“From\u00a0Super Bowl<\/a>\u00a0champ to college grad,”\u00a0wrote the Rutgers Football account on X<\/a>.\u00a0 “Isiah Pacheco came back to finish what he started!”<\/p>\n

When Pop entered the 2022\u00a0NFL Draft<\/a>, he forwent his final year of college eligibility. Despite being a late-round pick, Pacheco quickly became a key contributor for the Chiefs.<\/p>\n

When he was at Rutgers<\/a>, he rushed for 2,442 yards and scored 18 touchdowns throughout his four years, before being drafted by the Chiefs. He left Rutgers sixth all-time in carries and seventh in rushing yards.<\/p>\n

As a rookie, he took over the starting running back role and played a crucial part in the Chiefs’ Super Bowl in 2023,\u00a0rushing for 76 yards and a touchdown<\/a>. In his second season, he continued to lead the backfield with\u00a0over 900 yards<\/a>\u00a0and helped the team secure back-to-back championships with a win in 2024.<\/p>\n

For the upcoming 2025-2026\u00a0NFL<\/a>\u00a0season, he is looking to come back after suffering a fractured fibula\u00a0last season<\/a>.\u00a0But for now, he will celebrate this amazing milestone.<\/p>\n

The Rutgers Class of 2025 will receive their degrees during the university commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 18.<\/p>\n
