The\u00a0Chicago Bulls<\/a>\u00a0were unable to get into the playoff field after losing in the\u00a0NBA<\/a>\u00a0Play-In Tournament. Despite missing out on the playoffs, the future is much brighter than it has been for years.<\/p>\n

Led by Coby White and Josh Giddey, the Bulls have built a very competitive basketball team. Heading into the offseason, they could be a team that looks to make a big move.<\/p>\n

What could that big move be? One potential option has been suggested.<\/p>\n

Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report has\u00a0suggested<\/a>\u00a0that Chicago could be a top-tier trade destination for\u00a0Charlotte Hornets<\/a>\u00a0point guard LaMelo Ball if he is placed on the trade block.<\/p>\n

“If the Bulls could just keep him upright, his gravitational pull on defenders and preternatural passing vision would maximize this core’s offensive potential,” he wrote. “Whether throwing lobs to Matas Buzelis, finding a streaking Coby White in the open floor or feeding open looks to whichever spacers stick around, Ball’s impact on this offense would be immediate and immense.”<\/p>\n

Ball has had struggles with injuries throughout his young NBA career. He has shown legitimate superstar potential, but has been unable to stay on the court.<\/p>\n

During the 2024-25 NBA season, Ball played in 47 games. He averaged 25.2 points per game to go along with 7.4 assists, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.1 steals. In addition, he shot 40.5% from the floor and 33.9% from the 3-point arc.<\/p>\n

Depending on the price tag, the Bulls could make a lot of sense as a Ball suitor.<\/p>\n

Chicago finished the season with a 39-43 record. In order to take the next step, the Bulls may need to swing aggressively on a potential franchise player.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
