The Dallas Cowboys are going to feel the heat as soon as the 2025 season kicks off. A healthy Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb returning, and a new regime under Brian Schottenheimer has fans expecting a playoff berth at minimum.<\/p>\n

It is true that the Dallas Cowboys believe in the current group of wide receivers. However, anyone who has watched the 2024 season\u00a0knows\u00a0better:<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Veteran receiver\u00a0Keenan Allen\u00a0checks all the boxes. He\u2019s experienced, productive, and available. After one season in Chicago, where he caught 70 passes for 744 yards and seven touchdowns, Allen finds himself on the free agent market. It wasn\u2019t his best year, but he remains one of the most consistent receivers of the past decade.<\/p>\n

Allen, 32, spent his first 11 seasons with the Chargers and has six 1,000-yard seasons under his belt. Even his \u201cdown year\u201d in 2024 would\u2019ve made him the Cowboys\u2019 second-best receiving option behind Lamb.\u00a0ESPN\u2019s Todd Archer didn\u2019t mince words after the draft:\u00a0\u201cThe Cowboys know it, but now they have to show it with a trade or a free agent addition.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Knox described Allen as a\u00a0\u201csavvy route-runner with reliable hands\u201d\u2013<\/strong> the kind of presence that forces defenses to back off Lamb and gives quarterback\u00a0Dak Prescott\u00a0a safety valve he can trust.<\/p>\n

If Dallas is serious about competing in the NFC East, this is the kind of move that needs to happen. No more promises. No more waiting. The Cowboys need help now, and Keenan Allen can deliver it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
