Just last month rumours were swirling that Taylor Swift and her \u2018fianc\u00e9-in-waiting\u2019 Travis Kelce were set to ease off their hectic schedules over the next few months and had already discussed marriage and the pitter-patter of Kelce-Swift feet in the not-too-distant future.<\/p>\n

However, last week it was reported that Taylor has made the shock decision to begin \u2018talks\u2019 to play the star role in an upcoming remake of the classic romance flick,\u00a0The Bodyguard,\u00a0famously played by Whitney Houston in 1992.<\/p>\n

And\u00a0while fans are on tenterhooks over Taylor\u2019s latest rumoured foray into the acting world, an insider reveals how her friend\u2019s fear that the opportunity could have come at a crucial time for\u00a0the\u00a0Love Story\u00a0singer’s relationship and could jeopardise her future with Travis.<\/p>\n

A source tells\u00a0heat, \u2018She said for so long that all she wanted was to fall in love and get married and now that is seemingly right in front of her, a lot of people in her life think taking on a huge movie project right now would be putting her relationship in real jeopardy.<\/p>\n

\u2018If Taylor does sign on to do\u00a0The Bodyguard\u00a0it would be such a high-pressure situation and take so much focus and energy, it\u2019s hard to imagine what time she’ll have\u00a0left for\u00a0Travis.<\/p>\n

They continue, \u2018Travis\u00a0and\u00a0Taylor\u00a0are very confident in their connection, but considering how many Hollywood relationships implode, it would be naive not to consider it all.\u2019<\/p>\n

After several high-profile relationships including with Calvin Harris, Harry Styles and Tom Hiddleston, Taylor, 35, appeared to have met her all-American prince when she and NFL beefcake Travis Kelce, 35, went public with their romance in October 2023.<\/p>\n

Sources have also let slip that Taylor is \u2018more in love than ever\u2019 and, following the close of her epic ‘Eras’ tour in December, insiders suggested that 2025 could be the perfect time for Taylor and Travis to spend more time together after being forced apart by Taylor\u2019s busy schedule and Travis\u2019 football season with the Kansas City Chiefs.<\/p>\n

Just last month, the Kelce family also welcomed a new addition when Travis\u2019 brother Jason and his wife Kylie had their fourth daughter, Finn. At the time, sources told us Taylor had been showering Kylie and her newborn with gifts and that she and Travis had already volunteered for \u2018baby-sitting duties\u2019.<\/p>\n

But now the insider says this latest golden opportunity could prove too tempting for Taylor, who is unlikely to play \u2018cheerleader\u2019 to Travis full-time when the next football season kicks off in September.<\/p>\n

They say, \u2018Fact is,\u00a0Travis\u00a0will be back on the Chiefs this coming season, which means staying put in Kansas City and focusing on his game. And kicking back and doing nothing while\u00a0Travis\u00a0plays ball is definitely out of character for Taylor.<\/p>\n

\u2018They already had to get through doing the long-distance thing while she was touring, all they talked about for a year was how they couldn\u2019t wait until they could be together consistently. And now they have just that, and there\u2019s suddenly the possibility that they\u2019ll be putting themselves back in a very similar situation.\u2019<\/p>\n

They add, \u2018Getting dragged into Hollywood and all the temptation and all the added pressures that come with it certainly has the potential to throw a real wrench in things.\u2019<\/p>\n

After tentatively dipping her feet into the acting world when she appeared in the film adaptation of the much-derided musical \u2018Cats\u2019 in 2019, the insider says that Hollywood, to Taylor, feels like the one mountain she is yet to conquer.<\/p>\n

And after failing to pass a screen test to play the lead on\u00a0Les Miserables\u00a0back in 2012, the source says Taylor \u2013 who was named the youngest self-made billionaire in the world in 2023 \u2013 still feels she has \u2018redeem\u2019 herself in the acting world.<\/p>\n

They explain, \u2018She did not score the hit she wanted with \u2018Cats\u2019 so there\u2019s a feeling that she does have a lot to redeem herself for when it comes to her acting chops.<\/p>\n

\u2018In some ways it could be even more challenging because she will have a director to answer to and much longer hours but of course it\u2019s easy to see why she would throw caution to the wind and take the role.\u00a0It would be massively exciting for her. A lot of people are telling her it\u2019s a once in a lifetime chance and that she has to give it a shot.\u2019<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, last week Travis was forced to shut down more rumours that he is set to retire from football and has previously been very open about his desire to pursue his own acting career.<\/p>\n

The podcaster, who hosts \u2018New Heights\u2019 alongside Jason, has already made his debut in Ryan Murphy’s FX series\u00a0Grotesquerie\u00a0last year and\u00a0hosts the Prime Video game show\u00a0Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?\u00a0It was also revealed in February that the soccer ace has landed a role in\u00a0Happy Gilmore 2.<\/p>\n

Now the source adds, \u2018Travis\u00a0has been very open about wanting a huge Hollywood career and he\u2019s not the type to worry about what ifs – he\u2019s very big on seizing opportunities.\u2019<\/p>\n
