<\/p>\nNo. 6 Dodgers prospect Zyhir Hope has made himself into something of a fan favorite since he came over from the Cubs in the Michael Busch trade during the 2023-2024 offseason, simply by being very good at baseball.<\/p>\n
After the trade, he spent just seven games in Rookie ball before the Dodgers decided they’d seen enough to promote him. He spent 54 games in Single-A and hit .287 with a .905 OPS, nine homers, and 31 RBI and was promoted to High-A to start 2025 (and\u00a0got an invitation to spring training).<\/p>\n
With how he’s been playing in Midland, we could plausibly see him being promoted to Double-A soon. He’s\u00a0the Loons’ best hitter by basically every metric\u00a0and leads in homers and RBI with four and 21, respectively.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, he enjoyed his second four-hit night of the season with an extra-base hit and two RBI. He’s been without a homer since April 18, when he hit two in one night, but by all accounts, he’s living up to the hype.<\/p>\n
