The Los Angeles Lakers arrived in Minneapolis looking to seize control of their first-round series, but a 116-104 defeat in Game 3 on Friday night left them reeling and facing tough choices ahead of Sunday’s rematch.<\/p>\n
After carrying a four-point halftime lead, Los Angeles could not keep pace with Minnesota’s offense and ultimately lost the game in the second half.<\/p>\n
Luka Doncic, slowed by a lingering illness, managed just 17 points on 6-of-16 shooting, while veteran forward LeBron James again carried the offensive load with 38 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.<\/p>\n
However, the rest of the Lakers’ frontcourt struggled to keep pace, with Rui Hachimura and starting center Jaxson Hayes combining for 10 points.<\/p>\n

With Game 4 right around the corner, head coach JJ Redick acknowledged that benching Hayes remains on the table.<\/p>\n
