Warriors<\/strong> swingman Jimmy Butler<\/strong> has been listed as questionable to play on Saturday vs. Houston and was referred to by head coach Steve Kerr<\/strong> on Friday as \u201cday-to-day,\u201d according to Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN. Kerr isn\u2019t ruling out the possibility of Butler suiting up for Game 3.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m relatively optimistic,\u201d<\/em> Kerr said. \u201cI mean, Jimmy is Jimmy. We know he\u2019s willing to play through anything, so we\u2019ll see. I mean, this is a day-to-day thing for sure, and we\u2019ll see how he feels tomorrow, but I think there\u2019s a chance he plays.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Kerr noted Butler\u2019s injury is \u201cvery similar\u201d to the one Stephen Curry<\/strong> suffered in March, which cost the Warriors star two games.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a pain tolerance thing, that\u2019s why he\u2019s day-to-day,\u201d<\/em> Kerr added.<\/p>\n

Butler isn\u2019t the only Warrior whose status for Saturday\u2019s contest is up in the air. Veteran guard Gary Payton II<\/strong> has been listed as questionable due to a right shoulder strain after averaging just under 14 minutes per night in the first two games of the series, Youngmisuk notes.<\/p>\n

The good news for Golden State is that guard Brandin Podziemski<\/strong> isn\u2019t listed on the injury report after being limited to 14 minutes in Game 2 due to an illness. Podziemski said he\u2019s ready to go for Game 3.<\/p>\n
