Taylor Swift\u00a0and\u00a0Blake Lively\u2019s\u00a0friendship\u00a0is weathering the storm.<\/p>\n
Swift \u201cwas really hurt,\u201d a source tells PEOPLE, after being implicated in Lively\u2019s ongoing legal battle with\u00a0Justin Baldoni\u00a0over\u00a0behind-the-scenes conflict\u00a0on their movie\u00a0It Ends with Us.<\/p>\n
Lively, 37, referred to the pop star, 35, as one of her \u201cdragons” in an alleged text exchange, according to\u00a0a complaint Baldoni filed\u00a0in January, which claimed that Swift had pressured him to accept rewrites on the movie. The latest development in\u00a0Lively v. Wayfarer Studios et al.\u00a0is the reported possibility that Swift could be among those\u00a0served with subpoenas.<\/p>\n
“Blake knew she and Taylor would come back from this at some point and that their friendship wasn\u2019t done for good,\u201d the insider says of the legal difficulties.<\/p>\n
\u201cTaylor was really hurt by this situation, so she\u2019s relieved they were able to recover from this and put it all behind them because it wasn\u2019t something she took lightly,\u201d they add.<\/p>\n Swift, whose\u00a0song “my tears ricochet”\u00a0was used in\u00a0It Ends With Us\u00a0and its trailer, has yet to publicly comment on Lively and Baldoni\u2019s legal back and forth.<\/p>\n The\u00a0Gossip Girl\u00a0alum first sued her director-costar in December, accusing him of sexual harassment, \u201cdisturbing” and \u201cunprofessional\u201d behavior on set and a retaliatory smear campaign. Baldoni has denied the allegations and, in January, filed a countersuit for defamation and extortion against Lively, her husband\u00a0Ryan Reynolds\u00a0and their publicity team.<\/p>\n Among Baldoni\u2019s claims are that Swift and Reynolds, 48, pressured him into accepting one of Lively’s rewrites for screenwriter Christy Hall’s adaptation of\u00a0Colleen Hoover’s hit novel. In the complaint, the\u00a0Jane the Virgin\u00a0alum described an alleged meeting at Lively and Reynolds\u2019 penthouse where Swift \u201cbegan praising Lively\u2019s script. Baldoni understood the subtext: he needed to comply with Lively\u2019s direction.\u201d<\/p>\n In an alleged text exchange following that interaction, Baldoni told Lively that her script changes were “so much more fun and interesting” and that he “would have felt that way without Ryan and Taylor,” adding a playful emoji.<\/p>\n She allegedly responded by comparing herself to Khaleesi from\u00a0Game of Thrones<\/em>, calling her husband and Swift her “dragons\u201d and later her “Dance Moms\u00a0<\/em>level stage moms.”<\/p>\n Swift is both a longtime friend of Lively and Reynolds and godmother to the couple’s four children:\u00a0James, 10,\u00a0Inez, 8,\u00a0Betty, 5, and\u00a0Olin, 2. Along with Reynolds\u2019\u00a0Deadpool & Wolverine\u00a0costar\u00a0Hugh Jackman, the friends have been spotted together on numerous occasions,\u00a0including at NFL games\u00a0in support of Swift’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end\u00a0Travis Kelce.<\/p>\n The trial for\u00a0Lively v.
