After recent Taylor Swift news leaked, it is possible the pop star is breaking her four-year trend with her next release. The “All Too Well” singer announced in 2019, after Scooter Braun purchased her former record label, that she’d be rerecording all of her albums that were released under Big Machine Records.<\/p>\n

The first re-release, Fearless (Taylor’s Version), came out in 2021, followed by Red (Taylor’s Version) later that year. Swift waited another two years to release the re-recorded versions of Speak Now and 1989, suggesting she’d be following the two-year pattern for the remainder of her re-recordings. However, recent news suggests she might be breaking this pattern.<\/p>\n

\nWhile Taylor Swift has been following this pattern since 2021, she’s one for switching things up to keep her fans in suspense. According to a deleted video from Universal Music Sweden, Swift just might have a surprise up her sleeve.<\/p>\n

The publishing company posted and deleted a reel of a Swedish producer, Erik Arvinder, confessing he’s been in the studio with Taylor Swift this year working on her next album.<\/p>\n

While he didn’t clarify what album they worked on together, it seems likely it was TS12 and not one of the re-recordings.<\/p>\n

Fans suspect that the remaining re-recordings have been completed and Swift is just waiting for the right time to drop them.<\/p>\n

Also, Swift has mostly worked with producers she’s already worked with in her career for her re-recordings.<\/p>\n

Introducing a brand-new producer to work on her re-recorded albums would be unusual.<\/p>\n

It’d be especially strange since Arvinder is known for his work as a violinist.<\/p>\n

It seems very likely that the two could be working together to produce a new sound that Swift hasn’t explored on her previous albums.<\/p>\n

However, this doesn’t mean for sure that TS12 is coming before reputation and debut. Swift secretly began working on The Tortured Poets Department before Midnights was even out in the world.<\/p>\n

She’d release Midnights in October 2022 and two more rerecordings in 2023 before TTPD would see the light of day. If Taylor Swift is working with Arvinder on TS12, it’s not guaranteed that it’s coming out this year.<\/p>\n

In her iHeartRadio award acceptance video, Swift was wearing a gold snake necklace, which felt like a nod to her reputation era.<\/p>\n

Swift knows her fans are always watching and analyzing her every move to see if she’s hiding any Easter eggs, so there’s a slim chance this was just a coincidence.<\/p>\n

However, the star hasn’t announced a release date for reputation or her debut album yet.<\/p>\n

Swift is incredibly strategic, which is part of how she’s built such a successful career. So far this year, Lady Gaga released her pop comeback album Mayhem, and Sabrina Carpenter and Ariana Grande both released deluxe editions of their 2024 albums.<\/p>\n

Some fans felt it didn’t stand out from her previous work, and her collaborations with Jack Antonoff were starting to feel tired and overdone. Rolling Stone even published an article titled “Taylor Swift and Jack Antonoff Have Reached Their Limit.”<\/p>\n

As a public figure, Swift can’t let all criticism get to her, but she’s known for using feedback to fuel her work. It’s what she did when she created 1989 after not winning any Grammys for Red.
