Arsenal have already set their sights firmly on Kingsley Coman ahead of the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n

The Gunners are in serious need of extra firepower following what looks set to be another season where Mikel Arteta\u2019s men miss out on the Premier League trophy.<\/p>\n

Whether the French international proves to be that man, however, is entirely up for debate.<\/p>\n

Arsenal in talks with Kingsley Coman\u2019s team<\/p>\n

It\u2019s too late for Arsenal\u2019s 2024\/25 title ambitions, but a strong summer window could put the club in contention next term.<\/p>\n

New sporting director Andrea Berta (arriving from Atletico Madrid) has already identified one candidate in that regard, if reports are to be believed.<\/p>\n

Florian Plettenberg confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday afternoon that \u2018there is contact\u2019 between the side and Coman\u2019s entourage.<\/p>\n

As things currently stand, the Emirates Stadium is considered to be the 28-year-old\u2019s most likely destination should he depart Bayern this summer.<\/p>\n

Need a stronger goalscorer
\nThere\u2019s no questioning the fact that Kingsley Coman (valued at \u00a333.3m, according to Football Transfers) is one of the most talented wingers available on the market.<\/p>\n

If Bayern Munich weren\u2019t currently experiencing financial difficulties \u2013 specifically, a need to lower their wage bill \u2013 it\u2019s entirely possible they\u2019d rather keep hold of the Frenchman.<\/p>\n

Should this represent Arsenal\u2019s marquee forward signing \u2013 they may as well!<\/p>\n

With 32 Premier League games played (at the time of writing), the club has a 17-league goal deficit to make up.<\/p>\n

Given that Coman has only registered six goals in 1,597 minutes (across all competitions) in 2024\/25, we\u2019re not sure we\u2019re seeing enough from the winger to suggest he\u2019ll fix that problem.<\/p>\n

Even in his best goalscoring season in 2022\/23, he didn\u2019t manage to break double figures (nine goals).<\/p>\n

If the Bundesliga ace is a competition signing, we\u2019re not opposed. Otherwise, we need to see a lot more ambition from Arsenal\u2019s recruitment team.<\/p>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n
