Earlier this week, I put together four hypothetical trade ideas for the New York Yankees to make if they wanted to cement their team atop the loaded American League East. Potentially the most interesting deal of the four was a blockbuster trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers to bring in forgotten prospect Bobby Miller.<\/p>\n
Here’s the full hypothetical trade:<\/strong><\/p>\n Yankees receive: RHP Bobby Miller Dodgers receive: OF Everson Pereira, LHP Brock Selvidge The Dodgers are seemingly ready to move on from former top prospect Bobby Miller.<\/p>\n They have a loaded starting rotation in the big leagues, but even with injuries to a few of the starters, Miller hasn’t come close to receiving the call back to Los Angeles this season.<\/p>\n The Dodgers could use another big league-ready outfielder, preferably one with the power and potential of Everson Pereira. Adding Brock Selvidge would help boost the Dodgers’ farm system a bit, too.<\/p>\n For the Yankees, Miller would be an instant impact arm in the starting rotation.<\/p>\n Marcus Stroman has struggled tremendously this season, and Carlos Carrasco is way beyond his best days. Even at his worst, Miller is a big upgrade over what the Yankees currently trot out there.<\/p>\n At his best, the righty could be the difference between a team squeaking into the postseason and a team dominating the American League.
