It all started when\u00a0Kelce\u00a0revealed on his\u00a0New Heights\u00a0<\/em>podcast\u00a0in 2023 that he tried to give Swift his number via a friendship bracelet at her\u00a0Eras Tour\u00a0<\/em>show in Kansas City. Swift referred to it as \u201cadorably putting her on blast,\u201d something that to her was \u201cmetal as hell\u201d in her Time 2023 Person of The Year\u00a0profile. The rest is history, and a good one at that. Enough that people go weeks wondering if there\u2019s a\u00a0wedding\u00a0on the horizon or if the two are breaking up.<\/p>\n On the contrary, the two seem to be going stronger than ever. However, the Kansas City Chiefs seem to have dealt a serious blow to the couple\u2019s holiday plans this year, with The Athletic reporting that the Chiefs have requested to play on Christmas once again. Since\u00a0Swift and Kelce\u00a0started dating, the couple has not been able to spend one Christmas together due to Kelce\u2019s NFL commitments.<\/p>\n Apparently, the Chiefs are looking to become a staple on Christmas, like the Detroit Lions and the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day. In 2025, there will be 3 NFL Christmas games; two will be streamed by Netflix, and the third one will be streamed by Amazon Prime.<\/p>\n Many people were expecting Kelce to walk away from the game after the\u00a0Chiefs\u2019 Super Bowl\u00a0loss to the Eagles, but the TE decided he would return to the Chiefs for at least one more season. \u201cI still feel I can play at a high level and possibly at a higher level than I did last year,\u201d Kelce said about his decision. \u201cI don\u2019t think it was my best outing. I think I let my guys down in a lot more moments than I helped them, especially if you look at my track record and how I\u2019ve been in years past.\u201d<\/p>\n What that means for Kelce going forward, it\u2019s hard to tell. He\u2019s only under contract for one more year, so the decision he makes at the end of the 2025 season will be an even bigger one. For now, though, it looks like he and\u00a0Swift\u00a0will be spending another Christmas apart. But they\u2019ve taken some time to reconnect and spend time together during the past few months since the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n \u201cA lot of their time is spent at home just relaxing.
