The\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>\u00a0are set to host 2025 NFL Draft prospect wide receiver Isaiah Bond on a top-30 visit, per a report from ESPN’s Jeremey Fowler.<\/p>\n

A recent mock draft by our staff\u00a0predicted that the Chiefs will draft Bond<\/a>\u00a0late in the second round at No. 63 overall in. Bond is the prototypical WR that Kansas City likes, possessing blazing 4.35 40-yard dash time and kick return ability.<\/p>\n

What is a top-30 visit?<\/h2>\n

A top-30 visit denotes one of the 30 prospect visits allowed for teams during the pre-draft period. The Chiefs host prospects varying from potential first-round selections to those who go undrafted, providing them a glimpse into NFL life in Kansas City. Although no on-field workouts will occur, teams can utilize this opportunity to conduct meetings with coaching staff for film analysis, perform physical exams with team doctors, tour the facilities, and more.<\/p>\n

How does Bond fit with the Chiefs?<\/h2>\n

If you’re at all familiar with how K.C.’s WR corps have been constructed during coach Andy Reid’s 12-year tenure, Bond’s fit is obvious. He has a bit of a small frame at 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, but can burn defenders deep, rack up yards after the catch, and be a gadget weapon.<\/p>\n

Bond wasn’t super productive throughout his collegiate career at Alabama and Texas, catching 99 passes for\u00a01,428 yards, 101 rushing yards, and 11 total TDs. However, he did\u00a0set a career-high 15.9 yards per catch average in 2024. That could mean that he will need a little bit of time to develop and get acclimated to NFL play.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs are in position to do that should they take Bond, having a stellar trio at WR in Rashee Rice, Hollywood Brown, and\u00a0Xavier Worthy<\/a>. Although Bond played at Texas last year, he and Worthy were never teammates as he transferred from Alabama when Worthy was drafted by the Chiefs. Bond vowed to break Worthy’s all-time NFL Scouting Combine 40 record,\u00a0but came up short<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Still, pairing his speed with Worthy’s, and Brown’s for that matter, could\u00a0return K.C.’s offense back to the “legion of zoom” days.\u00a0Bond would likely ease in as a situational player to get his feet way, and could also be a return man for special teams coordinator Dave Toub’s unit. He could step into a bigger role in 2026 as Brown is only on a one-year contract.<\/p>\n
