After her whopping 21-month\u00a0Eras Tour\u00a0came to an end last December,\u00a0Taylor Swift<\/span>\u00a0had been looking forward to a well-deserved rest alongside her devoted beau,\u00a0Travis Kelce<\/span>.<\/p>\n

And with tight-end Kelce, 35, in off-season down time, the couple recently took a romantic international vacation away from the spotlight.<\/p>\n

Now, having returned to the US, Swift was surely hoping to play house \u2014 in the peaceful confines of one of eight luxury homes.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, no such peace is to be found \u2014 for Swift is gripped in the maw of a stubborn and worsening personal crisis.<\/p>\n

And she\u2019s fighting fires on multiple fronts.<\/p>\n

Last week, the Daily Mail exclusively reported that the superstar, 35, was\u00a0\u2018in hiding\u2019<\/span>, holed up with Kelce and cutting contact with many of her closest friends.<\/p>\n

And then there\u2019s the even more devastating fallout surrounding the custody battle over Swift\u2019s godson. (Pictured: Swift at the Grammy Awards in February).<\/p>\n

According to our source, this battening down of hatches is by design \u2014 as she tries to avoid being\u00a0further dragged into the vicious legal battle<\/span>\u00a0between former best friend\u00a0Blake Lively<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0Justin Baldoni<\/span>. (Swift has been mentioned in legal filings and has apparently been left feeling \u2018used\u2019 by Lively).<\/p>\n

And then there\u2019s the even more devastating fallout surrounding the custody battle over Swift\u2019s godson.<\/p>\n

In 2015, singer was made godmother to actress\u00a0Jaime King<\/span>\u2018s son, Leo Thames, who is now 9-years-old.<\/p>\n

Having met at a Golden Globes party in 2014, Swift and King became fast friends \u2014 and over the years, the singer has shared snippets of her clear fondness for little Leo, including dedicating her hit \u2018Never Grow Up\u2019 to him weeks after he was born.<\/p>\n

In a 2020 interview with People magazine, King shared that she had chosen the pop star to be her son\u2019s godmother not because of \u2018the name\u2019 but because of Swift\u2019s \u2018morals and her values, the way that she treats people and how hard-working she is.\u2019<\/p>\n

But things aren\u2019t all happy families now.<\/p>\n

On Monday, King, 45,\u00a0lost physical custody of her two sons<\/span>\u00a0to her ex-husband, filmmaker\u00a0Kyle Newman<\/span>.<\/p>\n

A judge ruled that King only have supervised visits with her two sons until she finishes a mandated drugs and alcohol program that will last around six months.<\/p>\n

In his legal filing, Newman branded King \u2014 who has been open about taking heroin as a teenager \u2014 \u2018a chronic drug addict and alcoholic who refuses to acknowledge that she has a problem.\u2019<\/p>\n

All of which is said to have left Swift devastated.<\/p>\n

An insider told the Daily Mail: \u2018[Swift] will always honor and cherish her commitment to being a godmother to Jaime\u2019s son Leo and any suggestions that she has ditched Jaime or Leo is false.\u2019<\/p>\n

Other sources have confirmed that Swift has in recent years grown more distant from King \u2014 in part due to her hectic schedule during the Eras Tour \u2014 but insisted she still \u2018has so much love for Jaime, and always will.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Taylor has not been personally afflicted by the disease of addiction, luckily. But she has had many people who she cares about in her life who are and who have been,\u2019 our insider said, adding that \u2018[Swift] has never walked away from anyone because of this.\u2019<\/p>\n

In the past, Taylor has faced accusations of ditching friends whenever their personal drama threaten her own reputation. When Lively, 37, filed her bombshell complaint accusing 41-year-old Baldoni, her\u00a0It Ends With Us\u00a0director and co-star, of sexual harassment in December, Swift began to distance herself.<\/p>\n

When Baldoni, who denies all allegations against him, filed his countersuit, alleging defamation, Swift\u2019s distance only grew stronger.<\/p>\n

She also appeared to move away from longtime friend Selena Gomez, after the 32-year-old singer faced backlash online after sharing a video in January crying about\u00a0Donald Trump<\/span>\u2018s mass deportation of illegal immigrants, before promptly deleting it.<\/p>\n

And, of course, Swift had to weather the public death of her close friendship with\u00a0Karlie Kloss<\/span>\u00a0in 2017. The following year, the supermodel married Joshua Kushner \u2014 brother-in-law to\u00a0Ivanka Trump<\/span>.<\/p>\n

\u2018Travis is Taylor\u2019s rock, and he will do anything and everything he needs to do to keep her safe,\u2019 this source added. \u2018She is the number one priority in his life right now.\u2019<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t be easy \u2014 especially since Kelce appears to be without his usual support systems, too.<\/p>\n

Indeed, even his Kanas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes, 29, and wife Brittany, 29, are not getting the usual face-time.<\/p>\n
