Ange Postecoglou appeared happy with how Spurs improved recently, though Football Insider suggest that there\u2019s one area where further improvement would seem to be required for the Australian to be satisfied.<\/p>\n
Tottenham \u201chighly unlikely\u201d to land Tijjani Reijnders<\/p>\n
Pete O\u2019Rourke was quoted as saying on Football Insider\u2019s Inside Track podcast. that the Spurs boss was keen to bolster his midfield because of wanting to keep Dejan Kulusevski in a more central role.<\/p>\n
The deeper lying midfield role that either Pape Matar Sarr, Rodrigo Bentancur or Yves Bissouma currently play would seem to be the area in which Postecoglou is seeking to adjust things.<\/p>\n
Notwithstanding that Sarr only recently signed a deal to keep him at the club until 2030, there\u2019s clearly something amiss for the manager.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s led to apparent interest in AC Milan\u2019s Tijjani Reijnders, a player whom Football Insider suggest that Tottenham are \u201chighly unlikely\u201d to be able to land.<\/p>\n
Milan Live even go as far as suggesting that Liverpool might well offer new signing Federico Chiesa in a swap deal for Reijnders, potentially putting them in the box seat should the Rossoneri be pressured into cashing in the brilliant 26-year-old.<\/p>\n

With Football Insider also noting that Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray won\u2019t be considered for the role, Postecoglou\u2019s purpose may be better served by casting his net further afield, and seeing what other talent is available.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s important to mention at this stage that Milan themselves don\u2019t appear to have commented on any rumours, and given the pressure that manager, Paulo Fonseca, finds himself under, they\u2019re unlikely to in the near future.<\/p>\n

So I think it helps you in that respect.\u201d<\/p>\n Squad rotation makes everything easier<\/p>\n Postecoglou also touched on the fact that he is getting to use more players more regularly this season, and how that is helping the team.<\/p>\n \u201cYou know, we made, I think, five or six change Wednesday night, but the guys coming in and played a week ago,\u201d he added. \u201cThat wasn\u2019t the case last year, where I always felt that if we did get injuries, I was putting in guys who hadn\u2019t played for quite a few weeks, and it was really disruptive for us. So, yeah, look, I much prefer it this way.\u201d<\/p>\n Spurs fans want the club to compete all season<\/p>\n Yes, the amount of games Tottenham have to play this season is intense, but surely no one would want it any other way really. The more games they play, that means they are progressing through the competitions, and that\u2019s something this club desperately need.
