The Kansas City Chiefs are having a tough time staying out of the spotlight this off-season. There has been countless off-the-field news stories this off-season that has taken attention away from the actual game.<\/p>\n
Taylor Swift is one of the biggest off-the-field stories for this franchise.<\/p>\n

There is a good chance that Taylor Swift might be entrenched in the super-polluter era for a while yet.<\/p>\n
A TikToker named nikalasVR (@nikalas.vr) posted a video\u00a0claiming\u00a0Swift recently set a world record for the shortest private plane flight:<\/p>\n
Nikalas speaks to the camera while simulating the flight that was apparently all of 40 seconds and 4 miles after departing from Los Angeles International Airport last year.<\/em><\/p>\n

Nikalas notes that 4 miles is a walkable distance for some, but to be fair, Swift\u2019s level of fame would make that unfeasible. That being said, Nikalas claims that at 5 p.m., the trip would only take 5-10 minutes in a car. Some commenters called that overly optimistic.<\/em><\/p>\n
Nikalas next asserted that \u201cshe\u2019s almost losing time by taking this flight; it\u2019s almost like they\u2019re trying to ruin the environment.\u201d Nikalas\u2019 \u201ctrue problem\u201d is that Swift\u00a0has talked\u00a0about addressing the changing climate in the past.<\/em><\/p>\n
To that point,\u00a0Swift\u2019s team claims\u00a0it makes up for her private jet usage with\u00a0carbon offsets. Of course, eco-conscious observers have the right to be skeptical of those promises, as companies\u00a0like Shell\u00a0seem to have duped the system.<\/em><\/p>\n
The video concludes with Nikalas\u2019 simulation actually taking more like 50 seconds, but the general point stands. It is noteworthy that there is some debate over whether Swift is actually on these ultrashort flights, as Business Insider explained.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n
