Before becoming an NBA icon with the Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry made a name for himself at Davidson College. His legendary run with the Wildcats, including an Elite Eight appearance in 2008, cemented his status as one of college basketball\u2019s most electrifying players. Now, over a decade later, Curry is returning to his alma mater, but this time in an entirely new role.<\/p>\n

On Monday, Curry agreed to take on the position of assistant general manager for basketball at Davidson. While Curry\u2019s new position is being celebrated, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr already has some lighthearted concerns.<\/p>\n

When asked about his superstar\u2019s latest venture, Kerr made it clear that he considers the title more \u201cceremonial\u201d than anything else. Kerr also jokingly admitted if Curry does ask for time off to recruit a future Wildcat, it might be hard to say no. I<\/p>\n

\u201cIf he asks to leave for a game to go scout college, I\u2019ll probably say no. But it is Steph Curry, so I\u2019ll probably say yes. I just hope he doesn\u2019t ask<\/em>,\u201d Kerr said.<\/p>\n
