Travis Kelce<\/span>\u00a0recently confirmed he was\u00a0returning for a 13th NFL season<\/span>, and Chiefs coach\u00a0Andy Reid<\/span>\u00a0expects the legendary tight end to be \u2018all in\u2019 for\u00a0Kansas<\/span>\u00a0City in 2025.<\/p>\n

Kelce admitted last week that he\u00a0wasn\u2019t fully focused<\/span>\u00a0during his team\u2019s 40-22\u00a0Super Bowl<\/span>\u00a0LIX loss to the Eagles, in which he caught just four balls and was largely anonymous.<\/p>\n

But he told Pat McAfee via text that he had a \u2018real bad taste in my mouth\u2019 from the defeat, and Reid believes he\u2019ll get a fully committed Kelce next season.<\/p>\n

\u2018He said he was coming back, and he\u2019s all in,\u2019 Reid said on the\u00a0The Bettor Angle\u00a0\u00a0podcast.<\/p>\n

\u2018He\u2019s all in, he\u2019s a heck of a player. I mean listen, he\u2019s getting older but you\u2019re talking about the guy that\u2019s going to go down as maybe the best of all time at that position. And okay well, if he\u2019s a step slower or whatever people are saying, he\u2019s still one of the best in the National Football League and in my eyes he\u2019s the best.\u2019<\/p>\n

Kelce struggled to make his usual impact in the Chiefs\u2019 Super Bowl LIX loss and drew criticism two days before the game when he was seen on a date night with girlfriend\u00a0Taylor Swift<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Kelce struggled in Super Bowl LIX, catching just four passes for 39 yards vs. Philly<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u2018I feel like I owe the guys that I come into that building with a whole lot more effort and focus,\u2019 he later said on his\u00a0New Heights\u00a0podcast, referring to the game itself. \u2018I just don\u2019t know what it was during that game man, I wasn\u2019t at my best.<\/p>\n

\u2018The more that I see clips or watch the film and put myself back into those moments, man, I\u2019m just like \u2018what the f**k.\u201d<\/p>\n

His brother and co-host Jason replied: \u2018Don\u2019t overanalyze it Trav. You\u2019re the king of not overanalyzing, so don\u2019t overanalyze it.\u2019<\/p>\n

Travis then added: \u2018But that\u2019s how I find motivation. That\u2019s how I create the beast, that\u2019s how I flick the switch.\u2019<\/p>\n

By his own lofty standards, Kelce struggled during the 2024 regular season, as he posted his fewest receiving yards (823) and touchdowns (three) since his sophomore season in 2014.<\/p>\n

He opened this year\u2019s playoffs with a big 117-yard, one-touchdown performance against the Texans in the divisional round, but added just 58 yards the rest of the way as the Chiefs came up short of an historic three-peat.<\/p>\n

Speaking on\u00a0The Bettor Angle, Reid seemed confident that Kelce had plenty left to contribute.<\/p>\n

\u2018Whatever he does on the field, the greatness that he is there, he\u2019s even that much better off the field. He\u2019s a great teammate and a great human being, one of those guys you\u2019d say \u2013 he\u2019s not going to do it \u2013 but one of those guys you\u2019d say, \u2018I\u2019d love to have him on my staff when he\u2019s done playing.\u201d<\/p>\n
