Manchester United icon Nani has called on his former club to equip new manager Ruben Amorim with two crucial elements following his appointment as Erik ten Hag\u2019s successor.<\/p>\n

Amorim, who has been managing Sporting CP in Portugal, will officially take charge during the November international break. This move marks his first managerial role outside of his home country, where he has achieved significant success, securing five trophies for Sporting, including a Liga Portugal title in his debut season.<\/p>\n

Nani, who briefly shared the pitch with Amorim for the Portuguese national team, is confident that Amorim possesses the qualities needed to make a positive impact at Old Trafford. Yet, he stressed that the club must support him with \u201cpatience\u201d and \u201ctop-tier players\u201d to foster success. \u201cHe\u2019s accomplished remarkable things at Sporting,\u201d Nani commented after Estrela da Amadora\u2019s recent 5-1 defeat to Sporting. \u201cIf given patience and the right squad, he can thrive at United, one of the world\u2019s most prestigious clubs.\u201d<\/p>\n

During Ten Hag\u2019s time as manager, United spent around \u00a3600 million on 21 new signings and captured the Carabao Cup and FA Cup trophies. However, they ultimately ended the 2023\/2024 Premier League season in a disappointing eighth place.<\/p>\n
