Arsenal saw their Premier League title hopes dented as rivals West Ham managed to secure a 1-0 win at the Emirates Stadium over the weekend.<\/p>\n

The Gunners now have it all to do in the race to the top, with league leaders Liverpool holding the title in their control.<\/p>\n

Mikel Arteta faces another big week ahead of him, with a huge clash against Nottingham Forest coming up in midweek before attention turns to Champions League action.<\/p>\n

So with that said, here\u2019s a look at the latest Arsenal news ahead of another big day.<\/p>\n

Mike Dean gives verdict on Myles Lewis-Skelly red card
\nArsenal were dealt a huge blow in their Premier League defeat to West Ham, not just in terms of the title race.<\/p>\n

Defender Myles Lewis-Skelly was shown a red card as he attempted to stop a counter-attack from the Hammers.<\/p>\n

It proved to be a denial of a goal-scoring opportunity, checked by VAR and given as a sending-off, resulting in a one-match ban.<\/p>\n

Ex-referee Mike Dean explained the reason behind it on Sky Sports, stating: \u201c100 per cent [the right decision].<\/p>\n

\u201cEven though it\u2019s on the halfway [line], that\u2019s the only doubt with the referee because it\u2019s so far from goal but he\u2019s only got the goalkeeper probably 20 yards in front of him and 30 or 40 yards behind him.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo for me, it\u2019s definitely a goalscoring opportunity for me, 100 per cent, it\u2019s going to be a red card, 100 per cent it has to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

Robin van Persie makes Feyenoord managerial switch
\nFormer Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has made another big switch in his career, this time on the managerial stage.<\/p>\n

The forward took the journey into coaching after playing, becoming the head coach of Heerenveen in the summer of 2024.<\/p>\n

Before the season has even ended on his first full campaign, Van Persie has already made headlines with a big switch.<\/p>\n

The ex-Arsenal man has returned to his old side Feyenoord, taking up the role as their head coach for the years ahead.<\/p>\n

Lucas Perez could haunt Arsenal again
\nFormer Arsenal transfer flop Lucas Perez could haunt his old side in the Champions League as he looks set to make a move.<\/p>\n

The striker struggled in his time with the Gunners, which saw him return to Spain, with the latest club being Deportivo La Coruna.<\/p>\n

Perez was released by the club in January, but now looks set to join PSV Eindhoven, according to Matteo Moretto.<\/p>\n
