The Kansas City Chiefs have used the last couple of weeks to officially turn the page on the 2024 season.<\/p>\n
All attention is on the 2025 offseason and how they’ll make some changes to the roster to make another run at a Super Bowl.<\/p>\n
Isiah Pacheco missed time during the regular season with a fractured fibula before returning in December ahead of the postseason.<\/p>\n
Despite not looking like his typical self, the 25-year-old secured an award.<\/p>\n
Pacheco was this year’s recipient of the Ed Block Courage Award for the Chiefs.<\/p>\n

Chiefs News: Pacheco Wins Ed Block Courage Award<\/strong><\/p>\n Every year, a player from all 32 teams gets handed this honor.<\/p>\n This award highlights commitments to the principles of sportsmanship and courage.<\/p>\n What makes this accomplishment better is the vote come solely from players on the locker room.<\/p>\n The winner of this award also shows someone who is active in the community and has emerged as a role model. Patrick Mahomes won this award for the Chiefs during the 2023 c<\/p>\n ampaign, and it stayed on the offensive side for the 2024 season.<\/p>\n Despite being in the NFL for three years, the Rutgers product has developed into a quality presence on and off the field.<\/p>\n As a playmaker, Pacheco runs hard with every carry and has the ability to be a weapon out of the backfield. In 38 career games, he has compiled 2,075 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns.<\/p>\n As a pass-catcher, he logged 69 receptions for 453 receiving yards and two scores.<\/p>\n The Chiefs will lean heavily on Pacheco in 2025, with Kareem Hunt and Samaje Perine slated to hit free agency.<\/p>\n Having him available to suit up gives the offense a boost while his presence off the field has gone a long way.<\/p>\n Even though the season didn’t end the way Chiefs fans hoped, this acknowledgment is the latest example that Kansas City has the right group of guys in the locker room.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Kansas City Chiefs have used the last couple of weeks to officially turn the page on the 2024 season.
