His 60 three-pointers are the eighth-most ever by a freshman in school history. None were bigger than his late triple with 24 seconds left help give Kentucky a 62-58 win over Houston in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, after which he was named to the NCAA Midwest Regional All-Tournament Team before going on to become the No. 13 overall pick of the Miami Heat in the 2019 NBA Draft.<\/p>\n<p>A one-time Wisconsin commit, Herro was rated as a 4-star prospect and ranked as the No. 37 overall prospect in the 2018 class according to the industry average 247Sports Composite. As a senior at Whitnall High School in Milwaukee, Herro was named First Team All-State after averaging 32.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 3.3 steals per game.
