{"id":31374,"date":"2025-02-06T10:28:35","date_gmt":"2025-02-06T10:28:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new365.azontree.com\/?p=31374"},"modified":"2025-02-06T10:28:35","modified_gmt":"2025-02-06T10:28:35","slug":"touching-backstory-between-taylor-swift-and-alicia-keys-son-after-they-were-spotted-dancing-at-the-grammys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new365.azontree.com\/?p=31374","title":{"rendered":"Touching backstory between Taylor Swift and Alicia Keys&#8217; son after they were spotted dancing at the Grammys"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2025\/02\/03\/14\/94809161-0-image-a-1_1738594033417.jpg\" alt=\"Touching backstory between Taylor Swift and Alicia Keys' son after they  were spotted dancing at the Grammys | Daily Mail Online\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Taylor Swift and Alicia Keys&#8217; son Genesis might have one of the sweetest friendships in the world of showbiz.<\/p>\n<p>While the duo sent the internet into a frenzy after a video circulated of them dancing together at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, they actually go way back, having initially crossed paths six years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Their unlikely friendship began at the iHeartRadio Awards in Los Angeles in March 2019 when Taylor, 35, and Genesis, now 10, were seated close to each other.<\/p>\n<p>Genesis was just four years old at the time and was perched on dad Swizz Beats&#8217; lap when he caught sight of Taylor and began waving \u2013 and she reciprocated.<\/p>\n<p>Their sweet interaction took place while Alicia, 44, was on stage accepting the Innovator Award, and she jumped at the opportunity to make a joke at their expense.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the audience, Alicia said: &#8216;Actually, my son Genesis is maybe trying to take Taylor out later tonight.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;He&#8217;s working on it &#8211; not sure how it&#8217;s gonna go but it looks pretty good right now!&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>In 2023, Alicia took her son, who was then eight, to go and watch Taylor perform during her Eras tour.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2025\/02\/05\/21\/94902769-14365349-image-m-78_1738790048488.jpg\" alt=\"Taylor Swift and Alicia Keys' son Genesis' friendship began in 2019 (pictured at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in 2019)\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The pair were seen adorably waving at each other as Alicia accepted\u00a0the Innovator Award<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>And it ended up being a particularly memorable experience for the youngster, as\u00a0Taylor\u00a0wrote him a personalized letter to thank him for attending.<\/p>\n<p>If that wasn&#8217;t enough, Genesis also got to gift Taylor a wristband and pose for photos with her too.<\/p>\n<p>Alicia took to Instagram to thank Taylor for the amazing performance and showed off the handwritten note her son received from the popstar.<\/p>\n<p>She captioned the series of snaps of them at the concert, which was held at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California, &#8216;Big love to Taylor Swift for your big beautiful spirit that makes everyone feel loved!<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Genesis adores you.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Alicia showed the note, which was addressed to Genesis, it read: &#8216;Gen, Hi my friend!!<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I was so excited when I heard you were coming tonight!! I hope you have so much fun at the show. I&#8217;ll be waving at you.
