According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Sacramento Kings are trading De\u2019Aaron Fox to the San Antonio Spurs in a three-team deal that also includes the Bulls. Chicago will send Zach LaVine to the Kings in the trade, ending his seven-and-a-half-year tenure with the Bulls.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-1\">For the past two years, pretty much ever since they handed him his massive contract, the Bulls have been trying to trade LaVine. But he had been so injured and playing so poorly that he had negative value around the league. LaVine\u2019s improved play this year clearly increased his value enough for Chicago to trade him, though.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-2\">And they even got an incredible asset back in the deal.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"inline-text-3\"><strong>Bulls getting their own pick back from Spurs in Zach LaVine trade to Kings is a dream come true<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p id=\"inline-text-4\">The full details of the trade are as follows, as outlined by Charania on Twitter:<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-5\"><strong>Spurs get:<\/strong> De&#8217;Aaron Fox, Jordan McLaughlin<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-6\"><strong>Kings get:<\/strong> Zach LaVine, Sidy Cissoko, three first round picks (2025 CHA, 2027 SAS, 2031 MIN), three second round picks (2025 CHI, 2028 DEN, 2028 own back)<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-7\"><strong>Bulls get: <\/strong>Zach Collins, Tre Jones, Kevin Huerter, their own 2025 pick via SAS<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-8\">Tre Jones is a fine player. Zach Collins and Kevin Huerter\u2019s contracts aren\u2019t great, but they could both potentially improve their trade value over the next year or so.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-9\">But none of those players is the dream asset Chicago got in the trade.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-10\">The Bulls managed to get back their own 2025 first-round pick, which the Spurs controlled via the DeMar DeRozan sign-and-trade in 2021.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-11\">The pick was top-10-protected this year but with Chicago\u2019s current place in the standings, there was a real chance that they ended up losing out on the selection, which would have been a disaster.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-12\">But now, they don\u2019t have to worry about that, and they managed to accomplish two goals with one move\u2014they finally got off of LaVine\u2019s contract and also got control of their pick back.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-13\">For the longest time, there were discussions of whether or not the Bulls would have to attach assets to LaVine to get off his contract.
