<\/p>\nTrading for eight-time All-Star third baseman Nolan Arenado is not at the top of the Los Angeles Dodgers\u2019 to-do list.<\/p>\n

Arenado seemed interested in joining the Dodgers after making an Instagram post with the song \u201cdodger blue\u201d by Kendrick Lamar. Arenado has not played in a postseason since 2022, so it makes sense that he is open to uniting with the reigning World Series champions.<\/p>\n
But, ESPN\u2019s Buster Olney squashed any hope that Arenado would play with Los Angeles in 2025. In an interview with Dodgers Nation\u2019s Doug McKain, Olney revealed that the Dodgers likelydo not want to trade for Arenado.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe has been on a platter for teams to make a trade for months,\u201d Olney said on Dodgers Dougout Live.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cAnd I asked about the Dodgers about six weeks ago. And to protect the source I have to sort of phrase it this way. I was told: \u2018If the Dodgers wanted him, they would have gotten him.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not like it\u2019s been a secret that he\u2019s been available, and to this point, it doesn\u2019t look like he\u2019s at the top of their list in terms of an interesting player.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n The St. Louis Cardinals are eager to trade Arenado this offseason. The delay in the trade has prevented the front office from adding new talent to the roster.<\/p>\n Arenado has three years and $74 million remaining on his contract. The 10-time Gold Glove award winner also has a no-trade clause, which he reportedly exercised against a trade to the Houston Astros in December.<\/p>\n Negotiating a deal that will satisfy Arenado may be difficult.
