Kayla Nicole is now rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs. Prior to the Chiefs not winning the AFC Championship, the sports reporter was not a fan of her ex, Travis Kelce, and his team having the opportunity to have a three-peat.<\/p>\n
Kayla Nicole praised the Chiefs organization during her interview with the I Am Athlete podcast last week.<\/p>\n

I think Patrick too is just a seasoned vet at this point \u2014 there is no panic, there is no sudden decisions. This is a well-thought-out offense. He studies the game like nobody else, oh my god yeah that\u2019s all he does. He\u2019s a student of the game.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n She even paid a compliment to Kelce who she dated from 2017-2022.<\/p>\n \u201cThen you got [Chiefs coach] Andy Reid, and I think his playbook is crazy. That\u2019s a known fact about him. Their offense is OD, they have guys they can throw the ball to that\u2019s not gonna drop it in the end zone,\u201d she said before complimenting Kelce. \u201cTravis Kelce \u2014 that\u2019s a tight end that\u2019s not gonna do it. They got the threats. So as much as I would love to see somebody else in the Super Bowl, just to see something new, it\u2019s not gonna happen.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n However, she still decided to cheer for the Buffalo Bills citing the boredom of the Chiefs always winning.<\/p>\n \u201cAs much as I\u2019d love to see Josh pull it off, I don\u2019t know if that\u2019s gonna happen\u2026 [It\u2019s] something new,\u201d Kayla Nicole responded. \u201cI\u2019m bored.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n The Chiefs defeated the Bills on Sunday during the AFC Championship game with the final score 32-29.<\/p>\n \u201cIt will be a storybook ending either way on Feb 9th,\u201d Kayla Nicole wrote on X referring to Super Bowl 2025. \u201cAnd as a fan of the game, that\u2019s really all you can ask for.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n She also had a\u00a0one-word response on Instagram writing, \u201cTough\u201d over a 2025 graphic of Super Bowl 59.<\/p>\n Kayla Nicole has been open about the\u00a0harsh comments she has read about herself online due to fans of Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift.\u00a0The pop star and athlete have been dating since the summer of 2023.<\/p>\n \u201cI would be lying if I said that that level of hate and just online chaos doesn\u2019t impact me,\u201d Kayla Nicole said in her interview with Angel Reese on her \u201cUnapologetically Angel\u201d podcast last year. \u201cYou could go to my most recent post and it\u2019ll be people debating why I\u2019m worthless and how I\u2019ll never be a talented person.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\nWhat Kayla Nicole Has Said About Online Backlash<\/h2>\n
