And now, over a decade since the couple split, fresh secrets are emerging about their romance.<\/p>\n<p>Aussie rockers The Temper Trap have revealed they were once asked by Taylor to help create a birthday gift for Harry. The group &#8211; consisting of singer Dougy Mandagi, bass player Jonathon Aherne, drummer Toby Dundas and keyboardist Joseph Greer &#8211; are behind the 2008 smash single Sweet Disposition.<\/p>\n<p>The song was such a favourite of Harry&#8217;s that he got lyrics from the track tattooed on his arm. However, the Little Things singer got the lyrics wrong &#8211; permanently inking &#8220;Won\u2019t stop \u2018til we surrender\u201d instead the correct words &#8220;Won&#8217;t stop to surrender.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div data-redesign-embed=\"true\">\n<figure data-orientation=\"landscape\" data-tmdatatrack-articleid=\"34553256\"><\/figure>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.mirror.co.uk\/incoming\/article34553256.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/0_The-Temper-Trap-Perform-At-TwitterAU.jpg\" alt=\"The Temper Trap photographed in 2016\" \/><\/div>\n<p>The Temper Trap are celebrating the 15 year anniversary of their debut album, Conditions, and have been sharing secrets about each of the tracks &#8211; leading them to share details of Taylor&#8217;s personal request. Frontman Dougy, 44, revealed in a TikTok video: &#8220;We heard about the tattoo before. We were on tour, I remember, I think he tweeted that he got it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So then, you know, it was brought to our attention. \u2018That\u2019s Harry Styles, blah, blah, blah.\u2019 And then we were laughing about how it was wrong.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He continued: &#8220;And then fast forward, I don\u2019t know, whatever, in the future, we were at the ARIAs and Taylor Swift was a presenter or something. She came to our green room, with a piece of paper, and she goes, \u2018Can you write the lyrics for my boyfriend? Or do I write the wrong lyrics? I can\u2019t remember which way I wrote.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>While Harry and Taylor have been reasonably silent about their past romance &#8211; seemingly preferring to make reference to it through song &#8211; the One Direction star has made occasional reference to the Cruel Summer singer in interviews. Back in 2017, he posed for a cover shoot with Rolling Stone Magazine and discussed an infamous photo of him and Taylor walking through Central Park on a date.<\/p>\n<p>He remarked: \u201cWhen I see photos from that day, I think: Relationships are hard, at any age. And adding in that you don\u2019t really understand exactly how it works when you\u2019re 18, trying to navigate all that stuff didn\u2019t make it easier.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I mean, you\u2019re a little bit awkward to begin with. You\u2019re on a date with someone you really like. It should be that simple, right? It was a learning experience for sure. But at the heart of it \u2013 I just wanted it to be a normal date.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Asked if her songs Out of the Woods and Style were about him, Harry replied: \u201cI mean, I don\u2019t know if they\u2019re about me or not&#8230; but the issue is, she\u2019s so good, they\u2019re bloody everywhere.\u201d He added: \u201cI write from my experiences; everyone does that.
