The\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs\u00a0had several wide receivers battle injuries this season. One has been ruled out for the remainder of the postseason despite practicing with the team this month.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs lost\u00a0Marquise Brown\u00a0for most of the season due to a shoulder injury he sustained in the preseason. He returned for Kansas City\u2019s matchup against the\u00a0Houston Texans\u00a0on Dec. 21.\u00a0Patrick Mahomes\u00a0has been without\u00a0Rashee Rice\u00a0since the second-year pass catcher suffered a knee injury in September.<\/p>\n

Mecole Hardman\u00a0hasn\u2019t played since going on injured reserve in Week 14 following a knee injury. Hardman was attempting to work his way back for the playoffs, but he will not help Kansas City\u2019s three-peat effort this winter.<\/p>\n

Per Ian Rapoport of the\u00a0NFL Network<\/em>, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid\u00a0confirmed\u00a0Hardman will miss remaining on injured reserve through the postseason.<\/p>\n

\u201cChiefs\u00a0coach Andy Reid tells reporters that WR Mecole Hardman, who was attempting to return off IR after a knee injury, will remain there and won\u2019t play again this season,\u201d Rapoport posted on X.<\/p>\n

Hardman was a key figure in the Chiefs\u2019 25-22 win over the San Francisco 49ers in overtime of last year\u2019s Super Bowl. He caught the game-winning touchdown to win Super Bowl LVIII.<\/p>\n
