Some posts sharing the claim included Swift alongside other celebrities who had announced donations, many of whom shared that information publicly.<\/p>\n
For instance, singer Beyonc\u00e9’s BeyGOOD foundation made a $2.5 million donation, actor Jamie Lee Curtis and her husband, Christopher Guest, donated $1 million and Paris Hilton (archived), who lost her house in the Palisades fire, donated $100,000 and promised to match an additional $100,000 in donations.<\/p>\n
However, there was no publicly available evidence suggesting Swift made a $10 million donation.<\/p>\n
She had not posted about a donation on social media, nor had any reliable entertainment news outlet reported on the supposed event. Snopes reached out to representatives for Swift to learn more and will update this story if we hear back.<\/p>\n
