The shot gave Boston an eight-point lead, which ended up being crucial when the Celtics failed to score again. White won a gold medal at the Olympics last summer, but now he&#8217;s making a serious push for his first All-Star berth.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s averaging career highs in points (17.1) and three-pointers (3.5 per game) while continuing to play the kind of defense that got him on the All-Defensive team last season, blocking 1.2 shots and getting a steal per game.<\/p>\n<p>Jaylen Brown has been an All-Star in the past, but against the Wolves, White showed he can pick up the scoring slack when Brown is out.
