Travis Kelce<\/span>\u00a0is set to miss the\u00a0Kansas<\/span>\u00a0City Chiefs\u2019 next game and enjoy some downtime with\u00a0Taylor Swift<\/span>\u00a0before his latest\u00a0Super Bowl<\/span>\u00a0charge, according to reports.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs have just entered a much-needed mini-bye week after a hectic\u00a0Christmas<\/span>\u00a0schedule which saw them play three games in the space of 10 days.<\/p>\n

The last of those outings \u2013 a 29-10 Christmas Day victory over the Steelers in Pittsburgh \u2013 saw them clinch the AFC\u2019s top playoff seed, meaning they will receive a first-round bye and enjoy home advantage throughout the postseason.<\/p>\n

And with nothing left to play for in the regular season, Kelce appears likely to be rested for next weekend\u2019s clash with the\u00a0Denver Broncos<\/span>\u00a0and head off for a romantic getaway with Swift in\u00a0New York City<\/span>\u00a0instead.<\/p>\n

Chiefs insider Pete Sweeney hinted as much while on the\u00a0New Day with SSJ podcast\u00a0Friday, where he revealed that head coach\u00a0Andy Reid<\/span>\u00a0is expected to leave out the majority of his key starters for that game.<\/p>\n

\u2018Andy I believe got done with the [Steelers] game and gave the guys some time to go do what they want to do. A tight end might be going to New York with his girlfriend, a quarterback might be hanging out with his kids. Who knows what everybody else is doing,\u2019 said Sweeney, who has spent over a decade covering the team.<\/p>\n

Swift, who has a $50million apartment in NYC\u2019s Tribeca area, was free to enjoy Christmas this year after wrapping up her worldwide Eras Tour back on December 8, yet she still decided against breaking her away-game duck for Wednesday\u2019s win over the Steelers.<\/p>\n

The pop megastar, who has not attended a Chiefs road game this season, was nowhere to be seen as Kelce and Kansas City secured the top playoff seed in Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n

Travis\u2019 girlfriend was at Arrowhead for last Saturday\u2019s win over the Houston Texans, nevertheless,\u00a0arriving at the stadium<\/span>\u00a0in a fluffy red jacket and black boots, along with a black fedora.<\/p>\n

She made her return to Kansas City amid speculation that her and Kelce are now engaged, after eagle-eyed Swifties claimed a ring had been edited out of a certain photo from her recent Eras Tour party.<\/p>\n

While she was not in Pittsburgh on Christmas Day, a number of Steelers fans turned up for their game against the Chiefs wearing \u2018Taylor Swift sucks\u2019 T-shirts.<\/p>\n

According to reports on social media, one of the fans in question was later thrown out of a bar just around the corner from the stadium after the game.<\/p>\n

It is believed they were ejected from Jason Aldean\u2019s Kitchen & Rooftop Bar for being \u2018drunk and combative\u2019 on the night, having just watched their team suffer a third straight defeat in the NFL.<\/p>\n

As a result, their star tight end will reportedly be one of several key starters rested next week<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The game proved a historic one for Kelce as he\u00a0set a franchise record<\/span>\u00a0for most receiving touchdowns.<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old surpassed the Chiefs record held by fellow tight end Tony Gonzalez with 76, with his 77th score also helping clinch the AFC\u2019s No 1 seed in the postseason.<\/p>\n

And Swift was clearly\u00a0left impressed by his latest achievement<\/span>\u00a0on the field after liking a post from the\u00a0Chiefs account\u00a0and one from\u00a0New Heights, the podcast Travis and brother Jason\u00a0<\/span>co-host, about her beau\u2019s massive accomplishment.<\/p>\n

Kelce also had his 1000th career catch in the game, though he remains far behind Gonzalez and former Cowboys star Jason Witten in third place on that all-time list.<\/p>\n
