(Cooper Neill\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>Harrison Butker has won a scathing \u201cA**hole Of The Year\u201d award after delivering an anti-LGBTQ+ commencement speech earlier in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>In May, the Kansas City Chiefs kicker\u00a0told students\u00a0at Benedictine College in Kansas\u00a0that he believed Pride month to be \u201csinful\u201d. Butker also insisted that most women celebrating their graduation there would be happier as wives and mothers.<\/p>\n<p>He also targeted the Democrats\u2019 views on abortion. Butker claimed the US president has \u201cbeen so vocal in his support for the murder of innocent babies that I\u2019m sure to many people it appears you can be both Catholic and pro-choice\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Following Butker\u2019s original speech, NFL senior vice president and chief diversity officer Jonathan Beane said that it did not represent the league\u2019s views.<\/p>\n<p>Butker later insisted that he doesn\u2019t regret his words, and has now been awarded as Outsports\u2019 \u201c2024 A**hole Of The Year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The outlet wrote that \u201cfor his anti-gay, anti-women speech, and doubling down on it throughout the year, Harrison Butker is Outsports\u2019 2024 A**hole Of The Year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>PinkNews has contacted a representative of the Kansas City Chiefs for a comment on behalf of Harrison Butker.<\/p>\n<p>Outsports also had a Dishonorable Mention in former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines, who has platformed her anti-trans views on \u201canother level\u201d this year.
