Kevin Love\u2019s experience and leadership are invaluable, but Ware offers a skill set better suited to Miami\u2019s current needs. Love\u2019s lack of lateral quickness and rim protection has been a defensive liability at times, particularly in matchups against faster, more athletic second units. Ware\u2019s mobility and ability to defend in space address these issues, making him a better fit in Miami\u2019s switch-heavy schemes.<\/p>\n
Ware’s play over the last couple of games against the Nets and Magic is indicative that he needed more of a role.
