Marquise Brown, who the Chiefs signed to a one-year contract in free agency this spring suffered a shoulder injury in the team\u2019s first preseason game in August.<\/p>\n

Second-year receiver Rashee Rice sustained a season-ending knee injury in Week 4.<\/p>\n

The Kansas City Chiefs offense has struggled in 2024<\/h2>\n

Those issues have contributed to Kansas City\u2019s struggles on offense, though the offensive line has been a major problem, especially in\u00a0pass protection. Mahomes has taken 35 sacks in 2024, seven more than his previous high for sacks which came in 2021. Those hits have contributed to issues in the passing game, as Mahomes has thrown for 3,348 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions this season.<\/figure>\n

Fortunately for the Chiefs, the team is set to get Brown back in time for the playoffs. He\u2019ll join rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy and veteran DeAndre Hopkins, who Kansas City traded for in October. The team has added veteran help during the season as they attempt to complete a three-peat. Kansas City added veteran DJ Humphries for help at left tackle in November.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Still, the fanbase thinks the Chiefs could add more firepower to the offense.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
