Taylor Swift\u2019s \u201cTortured Poets Department\u201d and Shaboozey\u2019s \u201cA Bar Song (Tipsy)\u201d topped the RIAA\u2019s albums and singles lists for 2024, based on sales and streaming, the organization announced Monday. The RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) recognizes certifies the top selling and streaming recordings, with 65 artists earning their first Gold (500,000 units) and Platinum (1 million) certifications in 2024, with\u00a016 albums and 69 singles\u00a0released being certified for the year.<\/p>\n

Taylor Swift\u00a0dominated the Year-End list with the highest certification level and Top Album for \u201cThe Torturned Poets Department,\u201d which was certified six-times platinum, while Shaboozey\u2019s \u201cA Bar Song (Tipsy)\u201d was certified five-times platinum.<\/p>\n
Billie Eilish earned the most certified titles with 10\u00a0\u2013 the Platinum album\u00a0\u201cHit Me Hard and Soft,\u201d plus the following singles: the four-times platinum \u201cBirds of a Feather\u201d; and the platinum \u201cLunch,\u201d \u201cChihiro,\u201d \u201cWildflower\u201d And Gold \u201cSkinny,\u201d \u201cBlue, \u201cThe Greatest,\u201d \u201cL\u2019amour De Ma Vie\u201d and \u201cThe Diner.\u201d<\/p>\n
The fastest certification on was\u00a0Jason Derulo\u2019s \u201cNu King,\u201d which reached gold status on its day of release, and Shaboozey\u2019s \u201cA Bar Song (Tipsy),\u201d certified just 31 days after release.<\/p>\n
Some 65 first-time artists across 5 albums and 69 singles\u00a0were introduced into the Class Of 2024, including BossMan Dlow, Odetari\u00a0and Sexxy Redd. On the Class Of 2024 list,\u00a0Tommy Richman\u00a0has\u00a0the highest hip-hop\u00a0certification with the four-times platinum \u201cMillion Dollar Baby.\u201d<\/p>\n
