It all ended up fine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Purdy, 24, is the quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, who faced off against the Chiefs for the chance to clinch the Lombardi Trophy back in February. Swift, of course, is a Chiefs fan since her boyfriend, <strong>Travis Kelce<\/strong>, is a tight end for the Missouri team.<\/p>\n<p>Swift and Kelce, 35, have been dating for more than one year, often supporting one another at concerts and NFL games alike. That\u2019s an absolute yes on that one,\u201d before asking if Kelce was the child\u2019s \u201cfavorite player.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, he and <strong>Patrick [Mahomes]<\/strong>,\u201d the fan replied, referring to the Chiefs quarterback.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGood answer,\u201d Swift quipped. \u201cYou are acing this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Swift met many fans (and their equally Swiftie parents) on Thursday, signing copies of her official <i>Eras Tour Book <\/i>and posing for selfies. At one point, she jokingly held up a Chiefs rally towel that read, \u201cGo Taylor\u2019s Boyfriend.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Swift admittedly wasn\u2019t a football fan until she started dating Kelce \u2014 and now, she\u2019s designing plays. At the Super Bowl in February, she brought an A-list squad including <strong>Blake Lively, Lana Del Rey, Ice Spice<\/strong> and more to root for the Missouri team.<\/p>\n<p>Purdy, however, wasn\u2019t nervous about Swift rooting for the opposition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf it comes down to it, Brock, and it\u2019s late in the fourth quarter, are you prepared to disappoint Taylor Swift?\u201d a sportscaster asked Purdy ahead of the big game.<\/p>\n<p>With a smile, Purdy answered, \u201cYes, I\u2019ll leave it at that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Purdy nearly got his wish as Super Bowl LVIII came down to the wire \u2014 and overtime. Ultimately, the Chiefs clinched a victory 25-22.
