After Travis\u00a0<\/span>Kelce marked a major NFL milestone his Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes detailed\u00a0their inseparable bond.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Travis Kelce\u00a0and\u00a0Patrick Mahomes\u2019 bromance is stronger than ever.<\/p>\n

Days after Travis expressed disappointment over how his season was going and noted he felt on-the-field disconnect from his Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, he became the fastest tight end in NFL history to reach 12,000 career receiving yards. And after reaching the milestone during a key win over the Los Angeles Chargers Dec. 8, Patrick was sure to give Trav his flowers.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe means the world to me, man,\u201d the 29-year-old told reporters after the game. \u201cWithout getting emotional, I mean he\u2019s a guy who has really kind of made me who I am in my career and a true leader on the football field.\u201d<\/p>\n

And he further detailed the ways Travis\u2014who has been dating Taylor Swift\u00a0<\/strong>since last year\u2014is invaluable to more than just him.\u00a0“Everybody\u2019s security blanket, but someone that I can go to at any moment and he\u2019s going to make a big play happen,\u201d Patrick continued. \u201cAnd as he\u2019s done throughout his career, he\u2019s never dropped off as far as his work ethic and the way he leads, and I think that\u2019s super important.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Ahead of the game, Travis, 35, referenced his dynamic with Patrick as he lamented the lower stats he had this season compared the last few years.<\/p>\n

\u201cRight now, for whatever reason this year, I just can\u2019t find my way in the end zone,\u201d Travis said on the Dec. 4 episode of his and\u00a0Jason Kelce<\/strong>\u2019s\u00a0New Heights<\/em>\u00a0podcast. \u201cI\u2019m just not on the same page as Pat. It can get frustrating. It can get f–king frustrating. That\u2019s for damn sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

But in true big brother fashion, Jason\u2014who shares\u00a0daughters\u00a0Wyatt<\/strong>, 5,\u00a0Elliotte<\/strong>, 3,\u00a0Bennett<\/strong>, 21 months, and a\u00a0fourth on the way\u00a0with wife\u00a0Kylie Kelce<\/strong>\u2014reminded his little bro not to be so hard on himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know you hold yourself to a really high standard,\u201d the older Kelce brother said. \u201cI think you\u2019re being a little hard on yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

And if Travis didn\u2019t believe his brother, hopefully he believed Patrick\u2014who shares daughter Sterling<\/strong>, 3, son\u00a0Bronze<\/strong>, 2, and has\u00a0a third baby\u00a0on the way with wife\u00a0Brittany Mahomes<\/strong>\u2014when he called out the tight end\u2019s unparalleled passion for the sport, as well as the pair\u2019s unmatched chemistry on the field.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s the hardest working dude on the team,\u201d Patrick gushed. \u201cHe plays on the same wavelength that I do and it\u2019s hard to do that. It takes guys time so it seems like from the first day I\u2019ve kind of been on that same page with Trav. And then seeing him working everyday, I mean, everybody sees like the personality on the TV and stuff like that but you don\u2019t see that everyday work ethic that he has.\u201d<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s clear that the duo are in sync in more ways than one, Patrick shared how Travis is also an inspiration to him both on game day and in practice.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, he\u2019s the guy that gets mad when they take him out of practice reps,\u201d he continued. \u201cThat\u2019s just the type of work ethic that he has and even for me, to come into the league, and have a superstar player and see him work like that\u2014it kind of showed me that I\u2019ll have to put that work in if I want to get to that level.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
