The star has finally wrapped her mammoth world tour; a three-hour set in which she showcased a series of striking bodysuits and ball gowns<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/header>\n

Taylor Swift’s record-breaking ‘Eras’ tour has finally wrapped, following a series of nights in Vancouver, Canada. The mammoth tour saw the singer perform 149 different shows across 53 countries over the course of 21 months, having first kicked off in Arizona in March 2023. It is the first tour in history to have surpassed $1 billion in ticket sales, with final figure coming in at more than $2 billion, as confirmed by her production company.<\/p>\n

When Swift took to the stage for the final show on 8 December, she\u00a0told the audience\u00a0that it has been “the most exciting, powerful, electrifying, intense, challenging” experience of her career. She also praised her community of fans, who have taken to making and exchanging friendship bracelets at each of her concerts.<\/p>\n

“I never thought that writing one line about friendship bracelets would have you guys all making friendship bracelets, making friends and bringing joy to each other. That is the lasting legacy of this tour,” she said. “I couldn’t be more proud of you.”<\/p>\n

The ‘Eras’ show \u2013 which was more than three hours long \u2013 was split into different sections to represent each of Swift’s albums, and featured a string of high-octane costumes, with bespoke outfits for each era.<\/p>\n

“The tour represents a very important moment in Taylor’s career, because she conceived and built it as a journey through the different moments or, as the title suggests, the musical eras defining her career,” explained Alberta Ferretti, one of the designers behind some of Swift’s many on-stage ensembles. “I’m honoured that she asked me to design dresses for this special occasion. I have always been fascinated by women who constantly question and challenge themselves and Taylor, with her work, has demonstrated to be a multifaceted artist, able to constantly transform and evolve.”<\/p>\n

Each look was carefully considered and designed to reflect the feel of each album: a floaty lilac Alberta Ferretti gown and a ruffled orange Etro design for\u00a0Folklore<\/em>, for example, or a\u00a0one-legged snake-motif Roberto Cavalli jumpsuit for\u00a0Reputation.\u00a0<\/em>As the tour has progressed, Swift has debuted the occasional new piece at each destination, switching up the wardrobe slightly from venue to venue.<\/p>\n

In the brief tour hiatus before the European leg, Swift released a new album \u2013\u00a0The Tortured Poets Department\u00a0<\/em>\u2013 in April 2024, which meant that fans who bought tickets for shows after that date were treated to an expanded set list.<\/p>\n
