Kansas City Chiefs receiver DeAndre Hopkins made his main goal for the remainder of the season clear after being traded.<\/div>\n

After a 6-0 start, the\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs\u00a0added a new dangerous weapon to their offense, trading for All-Pro DeAndre Hopkins. After the trade was reportedly agreed-upon on Wednesday, it was made official on Thursday, as the star receiver arrived in Kansas City.<\/p>\n

In his introductory press conference, Hopkins made it clear that he really has one goal with the Chiefs.<\/p>\n

“I’ve done a lot, all the accolades that I can accomplish as far as personal [goals],” Hopkins said. “So I think just playing meaningful football in January is what’s left on the list… [Playing for a contender] takes your game to a different level. It [raises] your focus, your drive, knowing that you’re playing for something.”<\/p>\n

Now in his 12th season, Hopkins has yet to play in or win a\u00a0Super Bowl, which is something he is hoping to change with the Chiefs.<\/p>\n

Hopkins also thanked the\u00a0Tennessee Titans’ front office in the press conference, noting, “Those guys could have traded me anywhere.”<\/p>\n

Hopkins has the most career receiving yards of any active receiver currently on an\u00a0NFL\u00a0roster (12,528). The 32-year-old is also a five-time All-Pro and Pro Bowler.<\/p>\n

The acquisition of Hopkins came at a crucial time for Kansas City, as they were down their three top receivers heading into their Week 8 matchup against the\u00a0Las Vegas Raiders.<\/p>\n
